You may be sitting there wondering: just what is a Disney nerd? Webster defines a “nerd” as such:
NERD noun \ˈnərd\: a person who behaves awkwardly around other people and usually has unstylish clothes, hair, etc.
: a person who is very interested in technical subjects, computers, etc.
Now, this term has changed drastically in society since the 50s when it originated. To be considered a nerd is not quite a bad thing. In fact, it is almost even cool to be called a nerd. With that being said, I suppose that the question at hand has yet to be answered. What is a Disney Nerd?
A Disney Nerd is a person that truly loves Disney. No. Not just loves Disney, but lives Disney. The idea of happily ever after and dreams coming true is not make believe. They show an outward passion for the fairy tales and don’t care what others think. Remember, a person can be a Disney Nerd at any age because we can all be young at heart if we choose. So whether you have annual passes to the parks, collect ALL of the Animator’s Dolls, wear a Lion King shirt every casual Friday, or watch Peter Pan each night before bed: they all have one thing in common. The deepest of appreciation for a man and his Mouse.
